Botox® Cosmetic Fort Lauderdale
We know having fine lines and wrinkles on your face can make you feel old. A number of factors that contribute to these early signs of aging include overexposure to harmful UV rays, improper skincare regime, insufficient nutrition, and even genetics. These factors lead to early signs of skin aging, making you look dull, tired, and old. One of the best treatments that can take several years off of you is Botox, a cosmetic treatment performed in our Fort Lauderdale facility.
Botox comes from Botulinum toxin type A and type B, neurotoxins that are used commercially in medicine, cosmetics, and research. Botulinum is a neurotoxic protein that is produced by Clostridium Botulinum bacteria. There are eight types of Botulinum toxin, type ‘A’ through type ‘H’, but only types A and B are used commercially.
Botox inhibits signals sent from the nerves to the muscles and temporarily paralyzes your muscle activity. It was FDA-approved to treat several medical conditions such as repetitive neck spasms, excessive sweating, lazy eye, overactive bladder, and chronic migraine in 1989. The cosmetic benefits of Botox were recognized and documented by Dr. Richard Clark, and in 2002 it was approved for cosmetic use by the FDA.
Botox is used to fight the signs of skin aging. It is among the most widely used aesthetic treatments which are approved for use in several countries worldwide. The result is smoother, younger skin that is free from wrinkles and fine lines.

Botox Treatments with Dr. Felder
BOTOX® Cosmetic injections are used to treat dynamic wrinkles caused by contractions of the underlying facial muscles during facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning. Dr. Felder uses BOTOX® Cosmetic for the cosmetic treatment of frown lines, Crows Feet, migraine headaches, and excessive underarm sweating(hyperhidrosis).
BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments work by chemically relaxing the facial muscles that are related to facial expressions. This results in a more youthful appearance as the BOTOX® Cosmetic smoothes the dynamic wrinkles.
All treatments are performed in the office in Fort Lauderdale by Dr. Felder and no anesthesia is required. The most common side effect is temporary bruising at the site of the injection. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments typically last for 3 to 4 months.
Dr. Felder is also a member of The Brilliant Distinction program, where patients receive discounts on Botox, Juvederm, and Voluma by accruing points for certain injectable procedures. You can click on the Brilliant Distinction logo above and sign up today.
